Partner - Contentious Probate
TSR Legal are currently supporting a highly regarded top-tier national law firm based in Cardiff, who are known for its expertise in private client matters, including contentious probate. The firm prides itself on delivering exceptional legal services with a client-focused approach. Due to growth within our clients' Cardiff team within this national firm, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Contentious Probate Solicitor to join the team and grow the already successful national Contentious Probate team.
The Role:
As a Senior Contentious Probate Solicitor, you will handle a varied caseload of complex probate disputes, working closely with clients to resolve contentious estate and trust matters. You will provide expert legal advice, represent clients in court proceedings, and engage in alternative dispute resolution methods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a caseload of contentious probate and trust disputes, including Inheritance Act claims, will challenges, executor disputes, and proprietary estoppel claims.
* Advising clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes.
* Engaging in pre-action negotiations and mediation to seek resolution where possible.
* Drafting legal documents, witness statements, and court applications.
* Representing clients in litigation, including attending court hearings.
* Collaborating with colleagues in the private client, litigation, and dispute resolution teams.
* Maintaining strong client relationships and providing high-quality legal support.
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor with at least 7 years post-qualification experience in contentious probate matters.
* Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex cases.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
