About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, organised, and passionate Brunch Chef to join our kitchen team. This role focuses on preparing and delivering a high-quality brunch menu in a busy but friendly environment. You'll be responsible for running the brunch service smoothly, maintaining excellent food standards, and working closely with the front-of-house team.
This is a daytime role with no evenings, ideal for someone who loves brunch, quality ingredients, and a well-structured service.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present all brunch dishes to a consistently high standard
* Take ownership of brunch service from set-up to close-down
* Ensure food is prepared efficiently during busy service periods
* Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
* Follow all food safety, allergen, and HACCP procedures
* Carry out daily prep and ensure mise en place is completed on time
* Monitor stock levels and report shortages or issues
* Minimise waste and work cost-effectively
* Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
* Assist with menu development and specials where appropriate
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Previous experience working as a chef or cook in a brunch/breakfast or café-style kitchen
* Strong understanding of food hygiene and allergen management
* Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy services
* Good time management and organisational skills
* A positive, team-focused attitude
Desirable:
* Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate
* Experience working in a small, independent kitchen
* Interest in high-quality, fresh, and locally sourced ingredients

Pay: £12.98-£13.50 per hour
