Job Summary:
The DCMS Shared Services team is a multidisciplinary team of professionals working closely with 9 other government departments ('the cluster') to deliver a single HR and Finance system (Enterprise Resource Platform 'ERP') and support service for DCMS and cluster departments.

This transformation will require new organisational structures and ways of working at DCMS. The team works with the cluster and partners on the design and delivery of the ERP and with senior leaders across Corporate Services on the associated business change.

We take a people-focused approach to change, and as we move towards our go live date of May 2026, we will be co-designing new organisational structures and ways of working so that we can maximise the benefits of the change and bring people with us on the journey.

Job Description:
You will report into and work closely with the G6 Head of Organisation Design and Business Change within the DCMS Matrix team. You will plan and deliver organisational change activities to support successful implementation of our new system and service for all colleagues across DCMS, and a new structure and ways of working across DCMS Corporate Services.

As part of this, you will lead organisation design work across our Corporate Services functions, including HR, Finance, Commercial and Digital, working in partnership with leaders and engaging teams to co-create a new target operating model for Corporate Services.

You will bring together your organisation design and change management experience to support design and delivery of our new operating model. You will work collaboratively to systematically map roles and responsibilities, capabilities and ways of working across Corporate Services, ensuring our operating model is clearly articulated and aligned to deliver on DCMS priorities.

Essential requirements:
* Experience in using organisation design approaches and methods to scope, design and implement organisation design work, in partnership with senior leaders
* Understanding of change management approaches, methods and tools and ability to apply them in practice to scope and deliver people and business change
* Communication and facilitation skills and the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at varying levels of seniority, including Directors / Directors General
* An analytical approach, with the ability to bring together various insights and metrics to inform your approach and work
* Ability to work in a structured and systematic way, using project management tools and techniques where helpful
* Ability to work collaboratively and inclusively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels to build trust and effective working relationships

Desirable skills:
* Organisational Design and Development Practitioner qualification
* Change Management Practitioner qualification

Further Information

If the vacancy is offered as FTA/Loan, existing Civil Servants must join on a Loan basis only. Prior agreement to be released on loan must be obtained before commencing the application process.
