The project:
Mace consult is supporting a client within the utilities / water industry. We are supporting our client with project controls and PMO team for a large scale complex infrastructure project. Mace consult will provide planning, project controls and PMO services for the the clients portfolio. To support project managers in the delivery of projects by providing high level planning service for the preparation of project plans, producing baseline scheduled tasks, resource profiles and financial models. The successful person will be involved in improving the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the programmes project delivery capability and provides leadership in best practices and is highly customer-focused - outward and upward and that these are consistent with customer expectations. The role will ensure that the operational issues of the project controls and PMO are managed, focusing on the project interface with project leaders, project managers, project teams, and interface issues.

You’ll need to have:
34. Exposure of working as a Primavera P6 project planner on large scale civil engineering / infrastructure projects ideally for a tier 1 contractor or a client side consultancy.
35. Construction related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent).
36. Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
37. Experience of working on large projects/programmes.
38. Construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
39. Working in a large portfolio of projects.
40. Mentoring and upskilling of inexperienced planners.
41. Implementation of planning principles within the project management community.
42. Working with large range of stakeholders.
43. Planning of complicated infrastructure projects and summarisation of these into portfolio level schedules.
44. Experienced P6 user (P6 pro).
45. Familiarisation with P6 EPPM (Web) – for config management – see below
46. Management of large data sets into simple reporting formats, through coding and layout manipulation
47. Baseline control and config.
48. Schedule import and export.

51. Familiarisation with other planning software - P6, Microsoft Project, Asta Power Project.

53. P6 configuration management - user access, OBS creation and management, user profiles, OBS assignation.
54. Set up and use of resources - future project not yet required.
55. Use of P6 for EVM - future project not yet required.
