We are working on behalf of a fantastic special school in Cheltenham that is looking for an EY SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team in either a full-time or part-time capacity. The school is a unique setting that cares for students aged 2-10 years old with a range of special needs, primarily focused around SEMH.
The school has been established in Cheltenham for some time. It offers a challenging environment due to the needs of the students, but this also makes the work highly rewarding. Feedback from candidates placed at this school has always been positive.
The role
Working at this school requires you to be proactive, flexible, adaptable, enthusiastic, positive, and patient. Due to the needs of the students, it is essential that you feel confident in managing challenging behaviour and have experience working with SEN/SEMH, preferably within a school setting.
The role of EY SEMH Teaching Assistant involves providing support within the classroom and filling in where necessary. You will work closely with other staff members, so being a team player is important.
