Business Analyst
Location: Nottingham
Hybrid-3 days work from client office - Mandatory
Contract inside IR35 / Fixed term contract / Permanent

Were looking for a Business Analyst to engage with the business, evaluate options for improving systems and processes, and help deliver effective IT-enabled solutions.
What youll do
* Planning & Delivery Alignment
* Contribute to the 3-year planning process
* Partner with the Release Manager to align business ambition with releases and dependencies
* Business Engagement & Change
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (business + technical)
* Support the flow of demand from idea → validation → formal project setup (including creation of a detailed Project Mandate)
* Provide IT input into benefits identification and ensure benefit owners are aligned
* Support business and process change initiatives
Requirements & Analysis
* Work with stakeholders (e.g., Architecture, Service teams) to:
o Identify work requiring IT intervention and align to strategy/budget
o Define and document scope, requirements, and constraints
o Apply structured start-up processes to identify root opportunities/objectives
o Challenge assumptions and support successful execution planning
o Elicit and validate requirements via interviews, workshops, document analysis and analytical techniques
o Produce documentation covering both functional and non-functional requirements
o Project Lifecycle Support
+ Represent business requirements end-to-end across the project lifecycle
+ Ensure requirements are clear for Design/Development teams and support clarification through design
+ Ensure data flows correctly between systems and new/changed data elements are accurately captured
+ Maintain complete, traceable requirements
What youll bring (Essential)
* Strong experience and knowledge of business analysis techniques
* Proven ability to influence stakeholders on options, scope, and solutions
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills
Nice to have (Desirable)
* Experience working with external suppliers/vendors
* Experience within a retail organisation
* Knowledge of business processes in areas such as Finance and/or Supply Chain
* ISEB/BCS BA Foundation and BA Practice (or equivalent)
