We would welcome applications from both newly qualified Pharmacists, those qualifying later in 2025, and those with some experience at band 6 in hospital pharmacy looking for new opportunities. Applications from pharmacists looking to change sectors is also welcomed.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated pharmacists to join our team and contribute to delivering and developing our high quality, patient-focused service. You will join a team of rotational pharmacists working across all aspects of hospital pharmacy with opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of clinical specialties and pharmacy services.
Our structured training program will be tailored to you and your level of experience. You will have support and regular feedback from our team of experienced senior pharmacists during all rotations and will have the opportunity to undertake a post graduate pharmacy diploma.
Applicants will be self-motivated, able to work independently and be capable of working under pressure. The successful candidates must have excellent communication skills and be willing to learn.
This post is for full time employment. To support 7 day working all staff are required to work 1 in 10 weekends with corresponding time off given during the week. All staff are required to undertake at least one bank holiday duty per year. It is expected that band 6 pharmacists will participate in the on-call service which attracts additional pay.

Responsibilities
* Join a team of rotational pharmacists working across all aspects of hospital pharmacy with opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of clinical specialties and pharmacy services.
* Work within a structured training program tailored to experience level with support and regular feedback from senior pharmacists.
* Participate in the on-call service as part of 7 day working and contribute to service delivery outside standard hours.
* Engage in clinical and medicines management audits and implement changes to ensure compliance.
* Contribute to quality improvement programmes relating to pharmacy and the use of medicines.
* Participate in the provision of medicines information services and Pharmacy helpline to staff and patients.
* Ensure compliance with current pharmacy and medicines law within the Pharmacy Department and across the Trust, including ward controlled drug checks and safe storage of medicines.
Qualifications
* Applications welcomed from newly qualified pharmacists, those qualifying later in 2025, and those with hospital pharmacy experience at band 6.
