About the Company
Our client is an established and growing M&E Building Services Contractor delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical installations across the North West. With a strong pipeline of commercial and public sector projects — including plant rooms, fire stations, hospitals, and mains works — they are looking for an experienced Commercial or Contracts Manager to join their senior team.
This is a senior, hands-on position with real potential for progression to a senior leadership role as the business continues to expand.
The Role
We’re seeking a proactive and ambitious Commercial / Contracts Manager to take ownership of commercial delivery, client liaison, and contract management across multiple M&E projects.
You’ll act as the key bridge between office, site, and client, ensuring projects run smoothly, profitably, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
 * 
 Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of M&E projects from tender through to completion.
 * 
 Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain strong working relationships and clear communication.
 * 
 Lead contract administration, variations, and valuations to ensure projects remain commercially viable.
 * 
 Proactively convert leads into work and identify new opportunities for business growth.
 * 
 Support project delivery teams, ensuring alignment between operational and financial objectives.
 * 
 Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
 * 
 Negotiate and manage supplier and subcontractor contracts.
 * 
 Provide strategic input into business development and tendering processes.
About You
 * 
 Experienced in M&E Building Services, ideally within commercial or public sector environments.
 * 
 Proven background in a Commercial Manager or Contracts Manager role.
 * 
 Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and project teams.
 * 
 Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract law and NEC/JCT forms.
 *
