MEICA Estimator - Water & Infrastructure A leading tier-1 engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for a MEICA Estimator to join its growing delivery team based in St Albans. Working across major water and infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive MEICA estimates, supporting bids and tenders, and working closely with engineering, commercial, and delivery teams to secure and shape future work within established frameworks. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MEICA Estimator or Mechanical / Electrical Estimator with exposure to water, utilities, or infrastructure projects to take the next step in a well-established and growing commercial team. Why Apply? * Strong pipeline of secured water and infrastructure work * Opportunity to work on major UK frameworks * Clear career progression within a commercial and pre-construction environment * Collaborative team culture with strong technical support Duties for MEICA Estimator * Prepare detailed MEICA estimates for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation works * Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate cost plans * Work closely with engineers, planners, and project teams to develop buildable and competitive solutions * Support bid submissions with technical and commercial input * Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options during the estimating process * Attend tender review meetings and contribute to bid strategy discussions * Maintain cost databases and historical benchmarking information Qualifications & Experience for MEICA Estimator * Previous experience in an MEICA Estimator, Mechanical Estimator, Electrical Estimator, or similar commercial role * Experience within the water, wastewater, utilities, or infrastructure sectors (highly desirable) * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools/software such as Candy * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills * Eligible to work in the UK GRS (Gearing Recruitment Solutions) specialises in recruiting Commercial, Estimating, Engineering, and Project Controls professionals across the UK water, utilities, infrastructure, and process engineering sectors, including AMP frameworks, MEICA delivery, and major capital projects for contractors and consultancies
