Location: Crawley (West Sussex), Belfast (Northern Ireland), or Templecombe (Somerset) - hybrid working arrangement – 3 days a week in the office

We have a great Senior Contracts Manager opportunity to join our Defence Commercial, Legal & Contracts team.

Key responsibilities:
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in:
* Providing advice and recommendations on commercial issues, risks, liabilities, and opportunities related to business relationship agreements, bids, and projects.
* Developing commercial propositions for major winning business campaigns.
* Supporting senior management and participating in commercial negotiations with customers, consortium partners, procurement, subcontractors, and other third parties.
* Providing bid and project teams with advice, recommendations, and costings related to UK and international contracts, including Direct Selling Costs, Credit Insurance, Bank Guarantees, and Letters of Credit.
* Responding to and negotiating contractual agreements and contract changes proposed by customers, supporting senior management in managing such changes, including preparation, approval, and negotiation.
* Identifying and managing issues and disputes with customers in collaboration with the Legal function.
About you:
Ideally, you’ll:
* Have a commercial background with experience managing contracts, risks, and/or a legal background combined with commercial expertise.
* Have demonstrable experience working within complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-site organizations.
* Possess qualifications such as LLB, Engineering, Finance, or Programme Delivery – advantageous.
* Be skilled at building and managing relationships across all levels during the bidding, negotiation, and delivery phases of projects.
* Have proven analytical and written skills, with the ability to understand pricing, risks, and contract mitigation.
