Location: Mindplace St Albans, St Albans AL1 2PS
Time type: Part‑time – minimum 2 days per week*
Compensation: Competitive salary + Bupa benefits
Session requirements
 * Monday to Friday: early shift 08:00‑16:00, late shift 14:00‑22:00
 * At least one shift will be a late shift
 * Saturdays 08:30‑17:00 (at least 1 in every 3 weekends)
 * Each day includes 5 appointments
As a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, you will provide high‑quality, safe and effective Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy to clients in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities
 * Deliver high‑quality CBT or low‑level brief interventions with excellent clinical outcomes
 * Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulating pathways of care for clients
 * Provide therapy face‑to‑face, by telephone or video, depending on client preference
 * Adhere to Bupa’s case‑management processes and collaborate with the clinical leads and wider therapy team
 * Observe session limits based on the client’s private medical insurance allowance while working toward therapeutic recovery goals
 * Provide sign‑posting or onward referral when appropriate
 * Offer ad‑hoc or one‑off wellbeing support and coaching as required
 * Conduct one‑off assessments and referral recommendations as needed
 * Deliver group psycho‑education, promote mental wellbeing through workshops and remote presentations
 * Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies
 * Attend regular clinical supervision (individual and group) in line with Bupa and professional body guidelines
 * Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experience
Essential Qualifications & Skills
 * Post‑graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT/High Intensity) (BABCP accredited)
 * Full accreditation with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
 * At least 2 years’ experience providing high‑intensity CBT with a range of presentations in adults
Desirable
 * Training and accreditation in specialised areas such as EMDR
 * Corporate experience and understanding of business context
 * Leadership and management skills
Key Skills & Experience
 * Adult mental health specialism experience
 * Proficiency with Microsoft Systems and electronic medical record systems
 * Ability to plan, prioritise workload and meet targets
 * Excellent customer service and client liaison skills
 * Strong written and oral communication
 * Teamworking, problem‑solving, and organisational skills

 * Well‑developed communication skills
 * Self‑minded, motivated and autonomous in a busy environment
