Internal Sales Engineer – Progressing into Field Sales in 12 Months Circa £38,000 basic salary flexible depending on experience Quarterly bonus paying £6,700 per annum Benefits package Office based in Nottingham with the potential for hybrid working This opportunity is most likely the right fit for someone who is currently an Internal Sales Engineer but looking for a step up to transition into a Field Sales position. Other similar backgrounds will be considered of course. It must be highlighted that this opportunity is starting as a 12 month maternity cover contract, but it is highly, highly likely to become a permanent role. You will start as an internally based sales engineer, with a full OEM standard training period provided. In time you will have the opportunity to work hybrid, most likely 2 days a week at home. Then progress into a Field Sales Engineer after 12 months or less. The company is an electrical engineering equipment manufacturer with the culture of a small business. They are a friendly, experienced and welcoming team who will help you in the day-to-day role and provide assistance with your progression into a UK Field Sales Engineer position. The Role Qualify inbound sales leads and technically complex applications and issue quotations Demonstrate company products in person and digitally Perform site surveys at customer sites across the UK plus attend trade shows Monitor the UK sales pipeline, prioritise workload and proactively influence and close orders The Person This role requires: Experience in a highly regulated industry: aerospace, defence, hazardous environments (ATEX rated products), oil and gas, nuclear etc. A qualification in electrical engineering or related such as electronic engineering, control and instrumentation engineering OR demonstrate knowledge gained in work Proven experience in a sales or commercially focused position Living commutable to Nottingham, you could live in or near Beeston, Grantham, Long Eaton, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough, Castle Donington etc. Please apply or contact Lloyd Owen at Mercury Hampton directly to discuss the opportunity further
