Start dates are from May to August 2026.
What you will do
 * Assess vehicles to establish the extent of damage and decide whether to repair or replace bodywork.
 * Remove and replace body panels and associated components, refit new or repaired panels, and repair damaged bodywork using traditional dolly, hammer or modern techniques incl. MiG brazing.
 * Repair small dents, holes, or corroded areas using a compound filler.
 * Use Volvo special tools safely and efficiently, wear PPE when required, assist with cleaning the workshop, and comply with warranty procedures.
 * Ensure accurate job cards, report all defects to the workshop supervisor, and attend college courses regularly to achieve the required standards.
 * Attend any technical or development training that is made available.
Who are you?
 * Enthusiastic with a strong interest in heavy vehicles.
 * Basic understanding of mechanical systems and a desire to learn.
 * Excellent problem‑solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
 * Strong communication skills and a team‑player mentality.
Desired qualifications: GCSE A* to C/Grade 4 in Math and English.

Duration
3 years, including 3 months of End‑Point Assessment preparation.
The programme blends practical learning, online studies, and block‑release training at our Remit Training Academy in Derby every two months.
Training and Progression
 * 12 block releases over the 3‑year programme; all hotel, food, and travel costs covered.
 * Full‑time apprenticeship with opportunities to specialise in vinyl wraps, aesthetic paint work, or move into workshop controller or shift supervisor roles.
 * Special graduation day to celebrate completion and award certificates.

 * National qualifications: Vehicle Damage Panel Level 3, recognised across the automotive industry.
