Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Social Work Assistant to work within Northumberland Council. This is a full time hybrid position, and we are paying £18 per hour for this role.
The role:
A Social Work Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting social workers and other professionals in providing services to individuals, families, and communities. The specific duties and responsibilities of a Social Work Assistant may vary depending on the organization and the nature of the social work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist social workers in assessing the needs of clients and families.
* Provide emotional support and assistance to clients facing various challenges.
* Help clients navigate social services and resources.
* Participate in community outreach programs to identify and connect with individuals in need.
* Collaborate with community organizations to enhance support services.
* Distribute information about available resources to the community.
* Work closely with social workers to implement treatment plans and interventions.
* Communicate regularly with social work team members to share information and updates on client cases.
* Attend team meetings and contribute insights into client needs and progress.
Applicant Requirements:
* Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.
Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
* Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
* Compliance: Current Standard DBS check.
* Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
* Hours: 37 hours p/w.
