The Role

The Mid Market Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by leading, coaching, and developing a team of Mid Market Account Managers to achieve sales targets and deliver strong customer outcomes. The role focuses on setting and executing effective sales strategies, optimising sales processes, ensuring accurate forecasting, and overseeing key commercial decisions to protect margins and minimise revenue risks. It also involves building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, fostering a high‑performance and inclusive team culture, and ensuring professional strategic account management across new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

* Lead, coach, and develop Mid Market Account Managers to achieve sales targets.
* Drive a high‑performance culture through clear KPIs, regular 121’s, and strong sales methodology.
* Identify growth opportunities through white‑spacing and effective account reviews.
* Oversee accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and sales reporting via Salesforce.
* Ensure commercial accuracy on high‑value deals and protect margins.
* Resolve customer issues quickly to maintain positive client relationships.
* Build strong internal and supplier relationships to support sales delivery.
* Promote diversity, inclusion, and a collaborative team culture.

Skills and experience we are looking for

We’re looking for an energetic and credible sales leader who can inspire high performance and deliver exceptional commercial results. You’ll bring:

* A proven track record of leading sales teams to target, with the ability to motivate, coach and drive accountability.
* Strong sales cycle and forecasting expertise, with confidence managing pipelines and ensuring accurate reporting.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, able to influence effectively across all levels.
* A customer‑focused approach, ensuring high‑quality client experience and swift issue resolution.
* Ability to thrive in a complex, fast‑paced environment, managing shifting priorities with ease.

How you will work

At TalkTalk Business we understand the importance of flexibility and connection in the workplace. That’s why we have adopted a hybrid approach to working. Our way of working is to work 3 out of 5 days in the office (adjusted for colleagues who are part-time) at our HQ in Soapworks, Salford Quays with the remaining days offering the option to work from home. We want to ensure you enjoy the collaboration and connection of the office environment, combined with the convenience of remote working.
