Job Description
At Crown, we take pride in producing high quality printed and decorated cans using industry-leading technology. We are looking for a proactive and skilled Printer to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our decorating equipment. This is a shift‑based role working a 4 on 4 off rotation across days and nights.
Your Mission at Crown
* Running, setting, adjusting and maintaining machinery to produce high quality cans to ISO 9001 standards.
* Showing a commitment to health and safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities by collaborating with stakeholders.
* Maintaining raw material supply and inspecting materials for defects.
* Continuing a good standard of housekeeping and supporting the reduction of downtime across the lines by diagnosing and resolving faults.
* Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on printers, coaters, ovens, and associated equipment.
* Set up machines for different can sizes and designs, ensuring accurate registration, colour matching, and print quality.
* Monitor machine performance and product quality, adjusting as needed.
* Conduct visual quality checks and correct defects.
* Keep accurate maintenance and equipment performance records.
About You
You have experience in a production, engineering, or manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to printing or decorating processes. You are confident operating and adjusting machinery, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work. You demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and safe working practices always. You can prioritise tasks independently, communicate clearly with colleagues, and work effectively as part of a team. You bring a safety-first mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
Required Education & Qualifications
* Level 3 City & Guilds / Apprenticeship, or equivalent, in Offset Printing.
Beneficial Knowledge & Experience
* Experience with printing or decorating machinery.
* Experience in high-volume manufacturing.
* Understanding of quality control and visual inspection.
