We are now looking for a Research Grants Manager – Post Award to join our Research, Policy and Impact Team. Reporting to the Head of Research & Clinical Trials, you will play a central role in managing our growing portfolio of active Research Awards. You will be a key point of contact for award holders and institutional partners, building strong, supportive relationships that help projects stay on track and deliver the benefits envisaged at award stage.
In this role, you will develop and maintain effective monitoring processes, ensuring key milestones, deliverables and risks are clearly tracked and addressed early. You will gather and analyse high‑quality project data, supporting internal reporting and contributing to a deeper understanding of progress and impact across the portfolio. You will work closely with colleagues across Research, Finance and Cancer Insight, troubleshooting issues, and advising on any required variations or extensions.
Applicants should bring a postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) and demonstrable experience working in a charity, research or health environment at a similar level. You will have a strong understanding of research funding mechanisms, experience managing clinical research or clinical research awards, and confidence working with a range of stakeholders including academics, research offices and clinicians. Excellent communication, relationship‑building and organisational skills are essential.
