Software Development Intern – Full Stack
The Baker Hughes Internship program enables students pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees, or recent graduates, to gain hands‑on experience that serves as the foundation of their professional careers. Interns gain first‑hand insights into processes, systems, and practices that ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading‑edge technology.
Responsibilities
* Developing exceptional applications for our business.
* Writing clean, scalable code using C#/TypeScript programming languages.
* Developing end‑to‑end applications with Angular/.NET.
* Creating technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture with strong attention to detail.
* Applying software‑development life‑cycle principles and Agile/Kanban methodologies to continuously improve code and processes.
* Improving code quality and deployment processes, enhancing CI/CD pipelines.
* Working on all aspects of the software engineering discipline – from design to deployment.
* Contributing to the life‑cycle project‑management software application within the Energy Technology sector; collaborating with system engineers, product owners, and subject‑matter experts.
Technical Focus
* Global, cloud‑based applications hosted in Azure.
* Data Lakes, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
* Artificial intelligence and machine learning.
* Mixed and augmented reality for field operations.
* Industrial IoT, telemetry, and sensor integration.
* Advanced mobile, desktop, and web applications.
Qualifications
* Currently pursuing or have earned a bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related technology discipline.
* Understanding of back‑end development frameworks such as C#/.NET.
* Understanding of front‑end development frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
* Knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Cosmos DB.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; a team player.
* GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
* Fluent in oral and written English with effective communication skills.
* Legally eligible to work in the country of application; no sponsorship or time restrictions required.
