Looking for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced manufacturing company? Due to an internal secondment we are currently seeking an experienced and talented individual to join our Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS) team as a key member. As a QEHS Specialist, you will report directly to the Senior QEHS Manager and play a vital role in driving the site's quality agenda, implementing new processes, and influencing positive change. Our Lockerbie site is currently undergoing a £90m Center for Excellence UHT investment project.
Responsibilities
* Lead site and UK business initiatives to drive organizational success.
* Identify improvement opportunities through GAP analyses and implement strategic solutions.
* Ensure compliance with Arla Foods Food Safety, Quality, and QEHS systems, including audits and certifications.
* Champion continuous improvement projects using Lean methodologies.
* Promote a strong quality culture, ensuring alignment with standards, policies, and customer expectations.
* Own compliance for all Customer Codes of Practices. Facilitate and lead audits, driving the site’s food safety culture.
What will you need to succeed?
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical specialist or manager role within the FMCG industry.
* Excellent relationship-building skills, capable of establishing genuine and productive connections.
* Lead Auditor training would be preferred.
* HACCP level 3 is essential; HACCP Level 4 would be preferred.
* Ideally, a degree or equivalent qualification within a food-related discipline.
* Demonstrated professional integrity and a passion for excellence.
* Proficiency in IT skills.
