Job overview

We are looking for a flexible, innovative and resilient team-oriented health care professional to join the MTC team as Rehabilitation Coordinator. This candidate will join us in achieving our vision for excellence in major trauma rehabilitation.

The major trauma case load consists of children and adults who have sustained a wide-ranging combination of traumatic injuries: brain, spinal, orthopaedic, soft tissue and chest trauma. The post holder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with individual service users and their support network to provide a comprehensive rehabilitation co-ordination service across both MTC and Network. They will be required to use advanced clinical skills to guide decision-making that ensures the delivery of a holistic and bespoke rehabilitation plan for each major trauma patient.

The John Radcliffe site hosts both the Adult and Children’s Major Trauma Centre (MTC) for the Thames Valley Trauma Network (TVTN). The MTC provides high quality care for the most severely injured patients across the region. The delivery of this expert care is dependent on the integration of specialist teams from the pre-hospital, resuscitation, definitive care and rehabilitation phases.
