About The Role
As the Operations Manager, you will support the Managing Director in leading our team to ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards. You will play a crucial role in fostering continuous improvement and operational efficiency while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. The role requires working 5 days a week from 7:30am to 5pm.
* Plan, schedule, and oversee manufacturing and repair workflows, ensuring timely delivery of products meeting customer specifications.
* Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety legislation and conducting routine inspections.
* Supervise and develop a team of workshop technicians, managing staff deployment, workshop space, equipment, and materials to optimise operations and reduce waste.
* Ensure high standards of service across all business areas, taking ownership of production, repair, and warehouse processes, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
* Monitor departmental spending and implement initiatives to enhance cost control without compromising quality.
* Provide hands-on support and technical guidance to resolve workshop issues while staying updated on industry trends.
About You
You will have a strong background in operational leadership, in a production or workshop environment. The Operations Manager should demonstrate adaptability and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Essential skills include strong leadership, team development, engineering process understanding, project management, and Lean management. A proactive problem-solving approach, excellent organisational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with Health and Safety regulations, and ERP systems are also essential. Ideally, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent.
