Overview
We are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our team on Ward 27 to assist Registered Nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team in implementing patients’ care plan. The role will also require the successful individual to undertake some clerical and domestic duties to ensure a safe environment.
Responsibilities
* Provides personal care to patients e.g. Bathing, toileting, feeding and care of the dying.
* Works in accordance to Trust policies and procedures.
* Demonstrates own duties to new starters and others as appropriate.
* Observes patients and reports any changes to a Registered Nurse.
* Performs basic observation using automated devices for temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturations and respiratory rate.
* Take basic patient measurements e.g. height and weight.
