Occupational Therapist - Mental Health Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced Acute Mental Health Inpatient Ward.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering occupational therapy services to individuals, groups, and families, promoting independence, well-being, and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
* Conduct assessments, interventions, and evaluations to promote patient participation and engagement
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient progress and outcomes
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist
* A minimum of 6 months' experience working in acute adult mental health or a similar setting
* The ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Strong communication, organizational, and therapeutic skills
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, recovery models, and safeguarding practices
Desirable Qualifications
Prior NHS or locum experience would be beneficial, as would familiarity with CPA (Care Programme Approach) and electronic health records such as RiO or SystmOne.
