What you'll do
Our complex care assistants are extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting vulnerable people to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll provide overnight care assisting our client who has a spinal cord injury.
You will be overseeing and monitor various clinical tasks inclusive of catheter care, bowel management, medication administration and moving and handling equipment. It is worth of note, that our client is susceptible to autonomic dysreflexia. Therefore extra care is needed when providing and meeting these clinical needs.
Qualifications
What you'll need
We’re more interested in your compassion and ability to care. You’ll need to be resilient too and be willing to learn new skills and develop your knowledge as part of a close-knit team. However, experience in a complex care setting would be extremely advantageous, in particular in the following:
* Spinal Injuries
* Catheter Care
* Bowel Management
* Medication Administration
* Moving & Handling Equipment
