Overview
Social Worker – Safeguarding Adults – CMB1997e at Cumberland Council. Location: Carlisle or Workington. Hours: 37 per week. Contract: Permanent. Salary: £38,220 - £39,152 per annum. Relocation opportunities available.
Responsibilities
* Lead safeguarding enquiries, chair case conferences, and work closely with partners such as health services, the police, and the voluntary sector to protect adults at risk.
* Manage a varied caseload, provide expert safeguarding advice, and use a strengths-based approach to empower individuals, reduce risks, and protect vulnerable adults from harm, abuse, and neglect.
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with values including ambitious, collaborative, compassionate, empowering, and innovative.
* Experience of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding principles is desirable.
* DBS: Enhanced DBS Check with Adults Barred List check. This role involves working in regulated activity with adults.
