Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to support both the finance and administrative functions of our business. This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, managing day-to-day office operations, and ensuring smooth business processes.
Responsibilities
* Accounts Support
o Assist with Purchase and Sales Ledger entries
o Filing and archiving financial records
o Reconcile credit card statements and supplier accounts
o Maintain spreadsheets and financial data
o Process invoices and credit notes
o Perform bank reconciliations
o Assist with credit control
o Manage and organise emails
o Complete supplier forms
o Support the Accounts Department with ad hoc administrative tasks
* Office Administration
o Assist with Health & Safety administrative tasks
o Help maintain company certifications
o Update supplier and customer portals
o Manage incoming calls and emails
o Maintain and monitor stock levels
o Provide general admin support (e.g. booking stock, raising sales invoices, purchasing, booking transport) in the absence of the Office Administrator
o Support the General Manager with ad hoc administrative tasks
Key Requirements
* Previous experience in an accounts/admin role
* Good knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
Desirable
* AAT qualification (or working towards it) - preferred but not essential
