Job Description: DUTY MANAGER
Salary: £12.75 per hour
Contract Type: Fixed-term – 3 months
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Part Time –up to 20 hours per week, worked across up to three shifts per week, mainly evenings and weekends. Flexibility is essential.

Reporting to: Deputy General Manager
Overview: In this role you will be responsible for supervision of the building. To be the Duty Manager for all events acting as the key holder. Committed to the well-being of our guests.
Duties
* To take the lead during building evacuations when on duty.
* To act as a key holder for the building.
* To be the first aider on site, responding to all incidents and completing accident reports.
* Operating our Box Office and Retail areas, using our till system, Admit one.
* Supporting volunteers using the box office, café, and bar areas.
* Daily proactive stock management e.g. rotation of stock, cleanliness of stock areas.
* To be responsible for preparing and distributing floats, cashing up, and completing daily financial settlements across all sales points during each shift.
* To be responsible for housekeeping, including emptying bins, maintaining toilets, general maintenance, auditorium cleaning, catering equipment and building presentation.
* To set up for events, including the manual handling of furniture.
* Be proactive in ensuring that guests access needs are delivered to the highest standards.
* Ensure events run to time by liaising with the technical team and visiting companies.
These duties are not exhaustive, and the employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the management.
Person SpecificationEssential:
* Supervisory experience in a retail or volunteer environment.
* Previous experience in a customer care role.
* Previous experience in cash handling.
* Evening and weekend availability is essential.
* Experience of working flexibly both as part of a team and alone.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Able to carry out manual handling duties.
Desirable:
* A first aid certificate.
* Experience in working behind a bar.
* Food Hygiene Level 1.
(Training will be provided where necessary)
