Role Purpose
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include but are not limited to support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols.
What you will be doing
1. Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
2. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment, maintain records relating to maintenance.
3. Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
4. Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.
5. Maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures, aassuring a clean and safe working environment
6. Hydrate electric equipment according to the Hydration Schedule
7. Repair all non-motorized equipment
8. Able to program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID)
9. Repair and replace all tires and wheels
10. Perform monthly, quarterly and annual quality control checks on the equipment
11. Able to perform an accident inspection on involved equipment
12. Report all accidents to Shop Supervisors and Managers
13. Answer all radioed repair calls on the ramp
14. Must be able to safely operate all vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) -Perform Daily Equipment Checks (DEC’s)

What we are looking for:

26. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airport Badge
27. Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
