Our client is an established British manufacturer, that is renowned for making sustainable, innovative and high:quality products. Due to growth within the business they are looking for an inspirational and motivated production team leader.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Reporting into the Production Manager, working alongside 2 other production team leaders
* Responsible for a team of around 80 production staff producing low:volume, high:quality products
* Motivate, lead and coach a diverse workforce daily
* Ensure that hourly and daily KPis targets are achieved to agreed product specification, quality and cost
* Highlight any product deficiencies to the quality team
* Monitor staff training plans, RTWs, controlling holidays, attendance systems
* Effectively look at ways of improving production processes
* Champion a culture of health and safety
* Delegate production plans and daily tasks
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Must be a strong:man manager : able to lead, influence positive change and motivate people
* Experienced as a production team leader / supervisor
* Worked previously in a manufacturing or production environment
* Approachable and adaptable person
* Ideally have led a team of around 80 people
* Dynamic person : able to come up with new ideas and suggest improvements
* Lean manufacturing knowledge
* Qualified : Health and Safety, IOSH
* Results and quality driven person
* Performance focused, monitoring and developing KPis
