Job Description
Job Summary
The Front of House Assistant is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service in a contract catering environment. This includes serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming dining experience for clients and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service at all times
Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally
Operate tills
Set up and clear dining areas, including tables and service stations
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
Replenish stock, condiments, and service items
Follow all health & safety and food hygiene regulations
Support the catering team during busy periods and events
Handle customer queries and complaints in a polite and helpful manner
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or customer service preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude
Basic numeracy skills for handling payments

Job Title: Vending Operator
Job Summary
The Vending Operator is responsible for servicing, restocking, and maintaining vending machines to ensure they are clean, fully stocked, and operating efficiently. The role involves delivering excellent customer service while managing stock levels and ensuring machines are functioning properly.
Key Responsibilities
Refill and restock vending machines with food, drinks, and other products
Collect cash and/or manage cashless payment systems
Clean and maintain vending machines to a high standard
Check product dates and rotate stock to ensure freshness
Monitor stock levels and report shortages
Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor faults
Report technical issues or breakdowns to the maintenance team
Keep accurate records of stock, sales, and collections
Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene standards
Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with clients on-site
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in vending, retail, delivery, or customer service preferred
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and manage a schedule
Basic mechanical or problem-solving skills
Good communication skills
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
Basic secondary education (GCSEs or equivalent), particularly in English and Maths
Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 1 or Level 2 Food Safety) often required or completed shortly after starting
