Role Information
* Role: IT Contract Manager
* Location: Chorley & South Ribble
* Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Permanent
* Salary: 41,771 - 44,075 + 6% Car Allowance
* Closing Date: 3 May 2026
What you'll be getting up to
* You'll lead end-to-end procurement processes for digital services and IT infrastructure, from tendering and evaluation to contract award and supplier performance management.
* You'll act as a key interface with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Service Leads to ensure compliance with public sector regulations and internal governance.
* You'll oversee the strategic management of council IT assets, ensuring efficient, compliant, and digitally enabled procurement activities.
* You'll monitor the status of all digital contracts and assets, maintaining accurate inventories and asset tracking using digital tools.
Who we’re looking for
* You will have excellent organisational skills.
* You will have proven experience in IT Contract Management including software licensing.
* You will have experience of the digital and IT market and its supply chains, and working with external third-party suppliers.
* You will have strong knowledge of general IT systems including Microsoft Office, database management, and finance systems.
* You will have strong analytical skills to assess market options and contracts, with financial acumen to support budgeting and cost control.
Other requirements
* This role requires some travel around our boroughs. You should have a valid driving licence or the equivalent mobility.
* Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
