You will be joining Birmingham City Council on a temporary basis for at least 3 months. This job is within the Private Rented Sector and you will be working as a Revenues Officer.
Your new role
The role involves reviewing lists of licenced properties without a named council taxpayer, contacting relevant property licence holders to obtain accurate liability information, identifying any other liability irregularities, updating the RBIS system, and sending out necessary correspondence to ensure correct council tax payment is received.
What you'll need to succeed
• Experience and knowledge of Revenues Regulations.
• Experience of working within customer service.
• Experience of working with IT systems and confidence in Excel and other Microsoft systems.
• Good verbal and writtenmunications skills, dealing with the public, 3rd parties and colleagues.
What you'll get in return
This role is initially for 3 months, with a high potential of extending to 6 to 12 months. You will receive weekly pay of £ per hour inclusive of holiday pay.
