Job Summary and Qualifications
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs duties preparing patients for scans, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring safety and professionalism to deliver excellent patient care. Join our team committed to delivering the best experience.
Responsibilities include:
* Performing radiographic procedures under physician guidance
* Applying isotopes for diagnosis with independent judgment
* Testing inpatients and outpatients
* Using Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment
* Administering pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals
* Maintaining radiation safety standards
* Checking patient charts and preparing patients for exams
* Scanning patients with proper settings
Qualifications:
* CPR certification required
* State Registered Radiologic Technician
* Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
* Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
* 1 year experience preferred but not required
* Ability to complete competencies within probationary period
