Details: Band 7 | 1wte WTE | 37 Hours, Permanent, £50,861 - £59,159 (flexible working requests will be considered).
As a Formulary Support Pharmacist you will play a pivotal role in shaping regional prescribing practices for NHS Borders, NHS Fife, and NHS Lothian. You will support the development, maintenance, and implementation of the East Region Formulary and work collaboratively with clinical colleagues across primary, secondary and tertiary care.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the review and appraisal of new medicines submissions and formulary applications.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of formulary recommendations, including facilitating chapter reviews and providing input to decision-making processes.
* Analyse prescribing data to inform formulary decisions and monitor adherence.
* Assist in the implementation of Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) advice.
* Provide education, training and expert pharmaceutical advice to support healthcare professionals in all aspects of formulary and governance processes.
About You

You need to be a clear communicator, with strong analytical and problem solving skills, a proactive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Essential Qualifications
* MPharm degree or equivalent and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Completed training or equivalent competence mapped to the RPS Post-Registration Foundation Pharmacist Curriculum.
