* Supervise and participate in the design of installation aids and other equipment for offshore or onshore use in preparation for offshore activities. Manage resources to witness or liaise with Inspectors to ensure contractual activities such as load tests and trial fits are carried out according to requirements.
* Manage the preparation of engineering analysis related to installation tasks to ensure the structural and operational integrity of equipment during installation.
* Sign and issue technical documentation as originator, checker, or approver, accepting personal responsibility for its adequacy.
* Ensure the selection of suitable equipment for offshore operations, checking all aspects to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with statutory regulations. Liaise with vessel departments and third-party contractors to confirm equipment suitability and compatibility.
* Manage coordination and compilation of as-built materials and handle contractual variations from site, fabricators, and offshore activities.
* Ensure full traceability of the technical development of the assigned scope throughout the project lifecycle.
* Review and confirm that specifications and scopes of work are agreed upon by relevant centres of competence and that quality issues are addressed in the quality control plan.
* Set and monitor performance objectives for direct reports.
* Engage in knowledge sharing, capture lessons learned, and apply engineering standards.
* Understand supply chain management processes and key commodity strategies.
* Participate actively in project risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
* Promote personal development and regular engagement with the professional engineering community.


Education and Qualifications Specific to Role

Essential Qualifications

* Postgraduate Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Strong technical knowledge within the discipline.
* Good knowledge of cable laying.

Desirable Qualifications or Equivalent Experience

* Proven expertise across a broad range of execution.
* Familiarity with relevant legislations and standards for the area of responsibility.
