Bouygues Energies & Services are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Engineer – Electrical, to support our growing Data Centre business.
We are committed to providing cutting-edge solutions for our clients' Data Centre facilities and are recruiting a Senior Project Engineer – Electrical to join our innovative team based in Newport. The Senior Project Engineer – Electrical will be responsible for managing the electrical aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescales, to high-quality standards and within health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental, and safety standards.
* Coordinate and control the on-site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan.
* Liaise with Statutory Authorities and Local Authorities as directed by the Site Manager in the submission of all Building Regulation cards as required to allow the progress of the project.
* Develop and agree electrical submission and approval process with the client and design team.
* Be involved in the overall programming and planning of the build.
* Attend site meetings, effectively communicate, and provide information for Progress Reports.
* Chair and minute subcontractor meetings.
* Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
* Provide operational support including review of procedures, best practices, and initiatives.

Candidate requirements:
* Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
* Proven technical knowledge of Electrical Services.
* Strong problem-solving skills and desire for continuous development.
* Self-motivated with good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Effective communication skills with clients.
* Attention to Health and Safety matters.
* Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
* Degree or equivalent in Electrical discipline is desirable.
