<div><h3>Harmful Sexual Behaviour Practitioner (Fixed Term 12 months) – Ref CH01826</h3><p><b>Grade G7</b>; Salary £35,412 - £38,220</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Conduct AIM3 assessments to understand children and young people’s presenting needs and sexually harmful behaviours.</li><li>Deliver individually tailored, therapeutically informed interventions utilizing best practice models including Toni Cavannagh‑Johnson chart and Hackett’s Continuum of behaviour model.</li><li>Explore areas such as sexual behaviours, physical, emotional, social and sexual boundaries, healthy sexual relationships, consent, emotional regulation, self‑esteem, empathy‑building, and safer choices.</li><li>Provide advice, consultation and support to families, carers and professionals regarding harmful sexual behaviour.</li><li>Collaborate with social workers, family support workers and multi‑agency partners to develop and implement risk‑management and safety plans.</li><li>Support parents and carers with the Weddell Family Programme to improve understanding of harmful sexual behaviours and establish safe boundaries.</li><li>Contribute to service development, partnership learning and deliver training on harmful sexual behaviours across the partnership.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications and Experience</h3><ul><li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with active listening.</li><li>Creative, flexible and adaptable in engaging with children, young people and families.</li><li>Substantial experience working with children, young people and families, including assessment of needs and delivery of tailored interventions.</li><li>Good understanding of healthy, problematic and harmful sexual behaviours and best practice guidance (preferable).</li><li>Professional reflection, sensitivity to emotive topics, and participation in reflective and clinical supervision.</li><li>Access to role‑specific training and continuous professional development.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><p>Hybrid working model – 2‑3 days office based; flexible leave; 9 days per fortnight pattern.</p><p>Council employee benefits including discounts on holidays, groceries, clothing, electronics, gym membership, financial benefits, expenses and professional development.</p><h3>Legal and Safeguarding</h3><p>Applicants must undergo an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, be prepared to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) if applicable.</p><p>Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check required (identity, immigration status, employment history, criminal record).</p><p>Compliance with the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.</p><h3>Equal Opportunity</h3><p>Walsall Council is an equal opportunity employer.
