We areseekingan organised and motivated Area Co-ordinator to join our Passenger Transport team. You will play a key role in planning and managing transport for children and adults, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring services are safe,reliableand cost effective.
You will manage a varied caseload, arranging and reviewing transport solutions that meet individual needs. This includesallocatingpassengers, overseeing contracts, negotiating withsuppliersand responding today-to-dayoperational issues. You will carry out risk assessments,monitorcontractorperformanceandtake actionwhere standards are not met. You will also work closely with families, schools, social care teams and transport providers to resolve queries, managechangesand improve outcomes.
This role requires strongproblem-solvingskills and the ability to balance quality,safetyand value for money. You will need experience of working with vulnerable groups, a good understanding of safeguarding and health and safety, and the confidence to work independently. You will also use a range of systems to manage records,contractsand financial information.
You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, able to prioritise work and manage competing demands. Knowledge of transport planning, contract management and local government would be beneficial.
