Overview
A well-established precision engineering company in Barrow-in-Furness is currently seeking an experienced and detail-focused Quality Inspector with certified Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience to join their quality team. The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in maintaining the company’s quality assurance processes, ensuring all components meet exacting standards through visual inspection and advanced NDT methods.
Responsibilities
* Conduct inspection of machined components using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
* Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), in line with relevant standards.
* Ensure inspection records and quality documentation are accurately maintained.
* Investigate and report on non-conformances and support root cause analysis.
* Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to uphold consistent quality performance.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar Quality Inspector or NDT Technician role within a precision manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Certification in NDT (e.g. PCN Level 2 or equivalent in MPI, DPI, or UT).
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality control procedures.
* Excellent attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills.
