Job Summary
We are excited to offer the opportunity for a part‑time (Thursday & Friday) Support Worker role in the Mansfield & Ashfield Mental Health Support Team, working alongside schools to provide early intervention work and promote mental health.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver workshops and assemblies developed by the team to groups of young people in schools around the theme of emotional health and wellbeing.
* Participate in promotional events, parents’ evenings within schools and occasional out‑of‑hours work to cover parents evenings.
* Support peer‑mentoring schemes run by the team in schools and work on projects to support service delivery.
* Attend and present webinars and other educational activities as part of the whole‑school approach to mental health.
* Carry out other duties as directed by the link worker allocated to the schools.
Requirements
* Experience working in a CAMHS setting or with children – for example, as a youth worker or teaching assistant.
* Full UK driving licence and a vehicle available for business use (reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010).
* Availability to work Thursday and Friday.
* Ability to work under supervision from the wider clinical team in each locality, and a willingness to participate in training and development programmes.
* Willingness to pay for a DBS check – the standard DBS application fee of £26.40 (enhanced £54.40) will be deducted from salary over the first two months of employment. A DBS Update Service fee of £16 per year will also be required.
