Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Baker / Chef to join our team. The main focus of the role will be baking a variety of sweet and savoury items, but the successful candidate must also be confident working in the kitchen, supporting service during busy periods.
You must be available to work weekends.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, creativity, and working with fresh, local produce.
Key Responsibilities:
* Bake a variety of sweet and savoury items (cakes, scones, traybakes, quiches, breads, etc.)
* Assist with kitchen prep and service during busy periods
* Maintain high standards of food presentation and hygiene
* Contribute to seasonal menu ideas and specials
* Monitor stock and assist with ordering baking supplies
* Keep the baking area clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulations
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A background in baking, ideally in a café or bakery setting
* Experience working as a chef or in a professional kitchen
* Passion for baking and food, with a creative approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
* A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to help across all areas
* Understanding of food hygiene and safety (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred)
* Availability to work weekends
