Are you an experienced Client Manager with a passion for delivering exceptional client service and building long-term relationships? Our client, a well-established Accountancy Practice, is seeking a motivated and detail-driven individual to join their growing York office.
The role:
Youll manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring all compliance, reporting and advisory work is delivered to the highest standards. Youll oversee and mentor junior staff, plan workloads, review accounts and tax computations, and maintain strong, proactive communication with clients. This is a varied position where commercial awareness, accuracy, and excellent relationship-management skills are key.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage client relationships and act as primary point of contact
* Prepare and review accounts and tax computations
* Advise clients on business performance and identify opportunities for growth
* Plan and oversee team workloads to meet deadlines
* Support and develop junior team members
* Promote and cross-sell additional services to clients
About you:
* Strong technical understanding of accountancy principles
* Experience with accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, IRIS etc.)
* Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
* Commercially minded with a focus on accuracy and client satisfaction
* Confident leading client meetings and managing deadlines
