Deputy Care Home Manager. Burscough Manor Care Home
* Salary: £50,000 per annum
* Contract: 40 hours per week, full supernumerary
* Shift pattern: 9am-5pm

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Care Home Manager to support the Registered Home Manager in the daytoday leadership of the service. Both clinical and nonclinical candidates will be considered, provided they have relevant experience within a care home or similar health and social care environment.
As Deputy Manager, you will help ensure the home delivers safe, effective, and compassionate care at all times, while supporting and developing the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
* Deputise for the Home Manager in their absence and support the overall leadership of the service
* Ensure a safe, caring, stimulating, and homely environment for residents and visitors
* Lead by example, promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all residents
* Support, supervise, coach, and mentor nurses, senior carers, and care assistants
* Oversee or support care delivery, care planning, and risk management (clinical or nonclinical, depending on background)
* Carry out audits, quality checks, and reviews to ensure regulatory compliance
* Support the home to meet and maintain CQC standards and internal quality expectations
* Contribute to recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of staff
* Maintain accurate records and support safeguarding and incident reporting processes
* Assess potential residents to support occupancy and safe admissions
* Work collaboratively with the Home Manager and multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement
