The Role
ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a CAD Technician to join the team.
Part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, ADEY has ambitious growth plans to continue protecting the worlds heating and cooling systems, to have a positive impact on the environment and peoples lives.
Responsibilities
* Working within PDM system for drawing updates and file management.
* Supporting migration effort onto PDM vault as well as building on PDM workflows.
* Producing technical illustrations for step by step I&S guides.
* CAD administrator (non-design work) updates to drawings packs through ECRs.
* Managing drawing office ECRs, ensuring processes are followed.
* Produce 2D drawings.
* Build assembly models on CAD.
* Ability to simplify 3D models.
* Provide ECR updates and take a proactive approach when dealing with sometimes complex ECRs.
* Prototyping / create visuals.
* Responsible for time management of own workload.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
* Solidworks PDM systems – Experience and implementation
* ECR processes.
* Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD systems.
* Ability to generate 2d drawings.
* A keen eye for detail and presentation.
* Microsoft packages.
* Written and oral communication skills.
Essential Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Knowledge of ECR processes.
* Experience working with Solidworks PDM systems.
* Ability to manage multiple projects.
* Use of Solidworks 3D CAD or equivalent.
* A level/BTEC or equivalent in Engineering or similar creative subject.
* Drives results and continuous improvement.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* A team player.
Desired But Non Essential Experience In The Following Areas
* High-end rendered CAD imagery for marketing (brochures, pop-up banners for exhibitions, videos etc).
* Creating visuals for concept approval of new ideas.
* Producing technical graphs.
* Support with technical reports/test procedures/templates and policy documents.
* File and maintain non-electronic copies of technical documents including Certificates, approvals and ASME/EN/BS standards.
