Driver Project Services are a part of the Driver Group Plc., a global, multidisciplinary consultancy firm which has operated for over 45 years, providing commercial and dispute related services to the construction and engineering industries. Driver Project Service offer a full range of planning, project management and commercial management services for both construction and civil engineering projects. Driver Project Services are seeking an experienced and competent Project Manager to lead and manage a long-term project in Teesside area. Suitable candidates should have experience in the full project lifecycle (Inception, Design, Procurement, Construction), strong project management and planning skills along with the commercial and contractual knowledge. Key duties will include (but not be limited to): Lead the execution of several small to medium Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Control & Automation projects including existing project punch lists/mod changes, including project scope, and project execution (engineering and construction) for existing facilities refurbishment or replacements. Critical measures of success include delivering to business objectives including E&HSS, budget, schedule and scope attainment leading to successful project start-up. Overall project management and execution process owner. Develop project plans, budgetary estimates, financial forecasts, and associated communication documents. Support procurement & commercial teams in the contract development and negotiations. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis from project concept and scope development through project execution and financial closure. Set and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Owner responsibilities including plan, committed and actuals, spending forecasts. Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes when necessary. Coordinate the development of all project documentation and process safety information including design basis, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, management of change, construction plans, etc. Key candidate criteria: Degree qualified in mechanical engineering or other, related discipline. Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in engineering or maintenance within petrochemical, nuclear or oil and gas projects.
