Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager Location: Windlesham Contract Type: 2-Year Contract Day Rate: £400 per day (Negotiable) Start Date: Immediate About the Role We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of commercial and pharmaceutical refurbishment projects across Windlesham. The client’s office is based in Croydon, so both locations need to be easily commutable. My client is one of London’s leading M&E engineering companies. You will manage mechanical works from design coordination through to testing, commissioning, and client handover — ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities * Manage all aspects of mechanical refurbishment projects, including HVAC systems, ventilation, heating, chilled water, domestic services, and drainage. * Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource management to meet key deadlines. * Coordinate and manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers on site. * Review technical drawings and specifications, resolving design or installation issues as they arise. * Maintain strict compliance with health & safety, QA, and building regulations. * Hold regular site meetings and provide progress updates to management and clients. * Oversee testing, inspection, commissioning, and final handover of mechanical systems. * Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on commercial or pharmaceutical refurbishment projects. * Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services within live or occupied environments. * Confident in managing budgets, cost tracking, and subcontractor performance. * Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. * Solid understanding of HVAC systems, pipework, ductwork, and plantroom installations. * Up-to-date knowledge of CIBSE standards and mechanical regulations. * CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications desirable. * Recognised mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) preferred
