Join us as a Community Outreach Specialist at Bettys and Taylors Group - Our family business is home to three iconic Yorkshire brands – Yorkshire Tea, Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate. An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone with a passion for community to join the Group Sustainability Team at Bettys & Taylors Group on a permanent basis. The Community Outreach Specialist will create and manage outreach opportunities that will build strong internal and external relationships to help the business to achieve their strategic goals whilst enhancing Bettys & Taylors reputation as a values-led Yorkshire family business. The role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects including acting as our careers outreach lead, building a strong link to education providers as well as holding our processes for work experience, placements and volunteering. You’ll have outstanding project management skills, strong organisational skills with a flair for public speaking and hosting events and engaging with a wide range of stakeholder audiences. Reporting to the Group Community Manager, this role ideally requires someone who has experience of working with young people and an enthusiasm for understanding the social, economic and legislative factors pertaining to young people, education and skills. This role requires an enhanced DBS check along with a full UK driving licence. What you bring Excellent listening skills. Experience of working with young people and vulnerable people. Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with a broad range of people, both verbally and written. Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders where necessary. Strong organisational skills. Problem solving ability.
