Lead Pastoral Practitioner: Pastoral & Attendance Data Management
Start date: September 2026 or earlier
Ysgol Treffynnon is situated on a modern learning campus, which it shares with a primary school, Ysgol Maes Y Felin. The design of the learning campus is beautiful, unique and innovative, possessing state-of-the-art multifunctional classrooms throughout.
We are seeking to appoint a highly effective Lead Pastoral Practitioner to take a primary role in ensuring that pastoral and attendance information is accurate, well organised and used effectively to support timely intervention for students.
This is a key pastoral role focused on strengthening the use of data, improving the quality of records and ensuring that pastoral and attendance concerns are identified, followed up and reviewed consistently.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with pastoral, attendance and student support information, together with the ability to produce and manipulate Excel spreadsheets, maintain accurate records, produce clear reports and use data to support intervention. They will also need the confidence and professional judgement to work directly with students, families, pastoral colleagues, attendance staff, safeguarding staff and external agencies.
This is not a post for someone who sees data as a purely administrative task. We are looking for a calm, accurate and organised practitioner who understands that well managed information helps identify need, strengthen intervention and improve outcomes for students.
The postholder will work as part of the pastoral team, under the direction of the Director of Learning for Pastoral, supporting the effective use of pastoral and attendance data to inform intervention, meetings, communication, follow up and evaluation.
Ysgol Treffynnon is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Candidates must complete our application form to be considered. We regret that we are unable to reply to all applications. If you have not received a reply within three weeks of the closing date, you should assume that you have not been shortlisted for interview.
Appointment is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and satisfactory references.
Closing date for applications: Friday 26th June 2026 at 12:00pm
