Location: Leyland
Contract: Full Time (36.25 hours/week over 4 days) | Permanent
Salary: £34,434 - £37,280

Are you a skilled HGV Technician looking for a new challenge? We are looking for someone to join our client's dedicated Vehicle & Plant Maintenance Team
Responsibilities
* As an HGV Mechanic, you\'ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing their diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment to the highest standards. You\'ll work in a busy, supportive workshop environment, with hours condensed over four days (7:00am - 4:45pm), and overtime opportunities available.
* Servicing and repairing vehicles and plant equipment as directed by the Workshop Manager
* Ensuring compliance with DVSA standards
* Diagnosing faults and repairing specialist equipment
* Attending roadside breakdowns and arranging recovery when needed
* Completing all paperwork accurately and efficiently
* Ordering parts and equipment from suppliers
* Adhering to Health & Safety regulations
* Supporting colleagues and apprentices with guidance and training
Who We're Looking For
* Level 3 qualification in HGV vehicle repair or equivalent experience
* Experience with municipal vehicles and equipment
* Skilled in fabrication, welding, and cutting techniques
* Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
* Strong understanding of RCV operation
* Flexible, positive attitude and team-oriented approach
* Experience with PMIs and MOT preparation
* Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (essential)
* MIG Welding Level 2 (desirable)
