Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a vibrant café environment. As a Coffee Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality beverages and food, while maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
* Assist with food preparation, including pastries, sandwiches, and light meals, adhering to food safety standards.
* Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and making recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including dining areas, preparation spaces, and equipment.
* Handle catering orders as required, ensuring timely delivery and presentation of food items.
* Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
* Uphold health and safety regulations in all aspects of food handling and preparation.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a café or restaurant setting is preferred; barista experience is highly advantageous.
* Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.
* Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
